GETTING GOLD IN THE RADIO CUP

On 10th and 11th May the district race round of the Radio Cup for athletic teams took place at the Neratovice stadium.

On Wednesday, girls and boys of the 6th and 7th grades raced. The girls beat six remaining teams in all disciplines sovereignly, gained 5,366 points and our team came first. Veltrusy team came second (minus 1,433 points) and V. Havel Kralupy nad Vltavou Elementary School (minus 1,450 points) came third.

The best results:

Tereza Faltynkova – high jump - 139 cm

Rachel Najmonova – 600 m run - 1:52.7 min

Viktorie Kottova – 600 m run - personal record - 1:58,2 min

Natalie Chalupova, Kristyna Pasovska, Nicol Fingerhutova, Michaela Bartoskova, Karolina Kohoutkova, Zaneta Kucerova and Kristyna Nedomova were in the succesfull team, too.

The boys were among the top performers in the rank of all disciplines.

Best results:

Milan Vit – 60 m sprint – 8.0 sec

Ondrej Krajc – 1,000 m run – 3:05 min

Lukas Havlin – high jump – 138 m

Michal Slizek, Adam Hrouda, Milan Vit, Ondrej Krajc 4x60 m relay – 31.5 sec.

Our most dangers rival for a golden bar was General Klapalek Elementary School Kralupy. The final discipline – 1,000 m run - decided on the final winner. Ondrej Krajc and Jaroslav Skoda fulfilled their difficult task due to their excellent quality and tactical performance and won.

Other winning team members were Adam Kucera, Jan Mozga, Ondrej Huml, Tomas Horky and Radek Havlicek.

On the second day - Thursday – girls and boys from the 8th and 9th grades vied.

Best results:

Katerina Dvoraková - 800 m run - 2:41 min

Tereza Kalalova – high jump first place - 154 cm

Marketa Trhonova – long jump – she overcame five metres limit again J

Tereza Srnova – shot-put – 9.70 m (first place)

Sarka Flegrova – shot-put – 9.68 m (second place)

Markéta Trhonova, Martina Trhonova, Tereza Srnova, Tereza Kalalova - 4x60 m relay - 31.3 sec (first)

Long lasting personal as well as school records have been broken. Other golden team members were Michaela Mitosinkova, Tereza Zackova, Nikola Bauerova and Eliska Frajbisova. They achieved 6,548 points which was 1,185 points more than the second Veltrusy Elementary School team results. Congratulations!
